A Purple Birthday- Florence Turns 3 Years Old!

This weekend we celebrated Florence turning 3...we had a purple party. When asked about her birthday, Florence told us that she wanted purple birthday cake and purple balloons. We forfeited the cake for gluten free cupcakes with lavender and deep purple icing. That seemed to work for her. And we of course had purple balloons, juice, grapes, and some other non purple items. But we did have a kids' band (they sang a purple song for her). Luckily the rain from Hurricane Hanna subsided right before the party started. We had great turnout for a rainy day with many of our neighborhood kids. They seemed to enjoy singing and playing with the band!
