Pawleys Island Vacation

We started off our week at Pawleys in a crazy way. We got word from Cleveland Clinic that they could do a Remicade infusion for Florence the Friday before we were to go to Pawleys (Saturday). So we drove the 9 hours up there on Thursday evening, picking up my parents along the way. We thought it would be a quick trip but Florence's doctors wanted her to stay there for the weekend in case she had a reaction to the drug. Will termed it Cleveland Clinic's way of stimulating their economy by having us stay in town.

Back in North Carolina, Sabrina and Maggie (my wonderful sister in law) packed our family up for the week long vacation at Pawleys! Not many people I could ask to pack up my clothes and belongings but these two did us a great service! Sabrina and Laura Mish rode down with Maggie, Jeff, Ella and Bea. Will, Florence and I joined them at Pawleys on Monday evening after driving 12 hours from Ohio. Florence handled the treatment well and we spent that weekend exploring Cleveland (i.e. shopping!).
